SAYHUSH FIELD NOTES

Sayhush vs Typeless: prepaid dictation or a wider voice-writing toolkit?

By · Reviewed

Try Sayhush for a focused Mac dictation workflow with prepaid minute packs. Investigate Typeless if rewriting, translation, a personal dictionary or use across more device types is central to your work. Those are different requirements, not just different prices for identical features.

Decide whether you want a transcript or a writing transformation

This is a Sayhush-authored comparison based on official product pages. Typeless presents voice input that reformats and rewrites spoken thoughts, with translation and selected-text actions. Sayhush focuses on capturing your draft and inserting the finished transcript. Before evaluating either, decide which changes you want software to make and which you prefer to review yourself.

Check where you need the app

Typeless lists Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android on its official website. Sayhush currently supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. A Mac-only app does not replace a required phone or Windows workflow. Check the actual download and requirements for each device rather than assuming the same controls or features appear everywhere.

Compare billing periods honestly

Typeless lists a free plan with a weekly word allowance and Pro at USD 30 per member when billed monthly, or a USD 12 monthly equivalent billed yearly. Sayhush includes 30 free minutes per calendar month and sells prepaid packs of 300 minutes for USD 5 or 1,000 for USD 12. A USD 12 pack is not a month of unlimited use; an annual monthly equivalent is not a month-to-month commitment.

Check the features you would miss

Typeless advertises a personal dictionary and writing-style controls; its Pro offer also lists cross-device Cloud Sync. Sayhush does not currently provide a personal dictionary, translation, rewriting modes or synced transcript history. Its optional encrypted text history stays on the Mac. If one of those additional capabilities is essential, a lower prepaid unit cost cannot make Sayhush an equivalent replacement.

Evaluate editing work, not just raw output

Prepare a short paragraph containing a correction, a name and an amount. Record what you actually said. Review whether each result preserves the intended meaning and how much editing remains. For a rewriting mode, note deliberate reformulation separately from recognition errors. The sample should be your own and non-sensitive; this page does not convert vendor speed or accuracy claims into independent findings.

Choose a plan after the trial

Use the free options to test your editor and language before paying. Inspect the current allowance inside the product: a word limit and an audio-minute limit are not interchangeable, and speaking rates vary. Sayhush has no recurring subscription or automatic recharge. Check Typeless’s current billing and cancellation details if considering Pro, especially the annual commitment and number of seats.
