Sayhush is a Mac dictation app. This preview is not yet accepting public account registrations or payments. The following describes the implemented design for the hosted service; operator contact details and production processor settings must be confirmed before public launch.

Your audio

While you record, audio travels over encrypted connections through the Sayhush relay to Soniox, our transcription processor. Sayhush does not write audio recordings to disk. The relay keeps bounded audio buffers in memory and discards them after the session. The service receives the transcript in order to return it to your app; it does not store transcript text in the account database.

Your words stay close

Optional text history is stored on your Mac, encrypted with AES-GCM using a key in macOS Keychain. You can search, export, delete entries, turn future saving off, or choose a retention window. The default is 30 days, with a maximum of 1,000 entries. Exported text files are ordinary unencrypted files. Clipboard and destination apps may retain text independently.

Your account and purchases

Supabase processes email sign-in and stores account identifiers, balances, recording duration records, and payment references. Polar processes checkout and receipts as merchant of record. Sayhush does not receive or store full payment-card details. These services process data according to their own policies and configured hosting regions.

Usage and diagnostics

The server records recording identifiers, dates, audio duration, and credit allocations so usage can be billed and reconciled. Content is excluded from application logs. Hosting providers may retain request metadata, including IP addresses. This website does not install analytics or advertising trackers.

Control and deletion

Delete local text from the History tab or clear all history. Signing out removes the app’s stored account session but does not delete local history. Account and financial record deletion requires operator assistance; production contact details must be supplied before public launch, and some payment records may need to be retained.

Before public launch

This preview has no public checkout or account collection enabled. A final privacy notice will identify the operating business, contact route, configured data regions, retention periods for account records, and applicable rights before these services are enabled.
