SAYHUSH FIELD NOTES

Sayhush vs Wispr Flow: prepaid Mac dictation or a broader platform?

By · Reviewed

The practical difference

Choose based on the devices you use and the work you want to do. Sayhush focuses on a small Mac dictation workflow with prepaid minute packs. Wispr Flow offers a wider platform and plan range. This is a Sayhush-authored comparison of published information, not a claim that one recognizer is more accurate.

Check your devices

Sayhush currently supports Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 14 or newer. If your workflow depends on Windows or a phone app, it is not a substitute for that requirement. Wispr Flow’s official pricing page lists Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. A cross-device workflow can matter more than a small price difference.

Compare payment commitments

Wispr Flow lists a free plan and Pro at $15/user/month, or $12/user/month with annual billing. Sayhush includes 30 free minutes each calendar month and offers $5/300-minute and $12/1,000-minute packs. Packs are paid upfront; they are not a promise to charge only the exact dollar value of your usage.

Compare the work you actually do

A small dock, tap-to-toggle, pause/resume and final text insertion are the core Sayhush experience. It keeps optional history encrypted on your Mac and requires internet access for transcription. It does not offer meeting transcription or a team administration suite. If those capabilities drive your choice, inspect the relevant Flow plan rather than assuming feature equivalence.

Try without exaggerating savings

Someone with irregular dictation needs may prefer non-expiring prepaid credits. A frequent user may prefer an unlimited subscription or a free alternative. Test your real language, names and editor. Review the transcript before sending it. There is no independent recognition benchmark on this page, and neither product is guaranteed to work in every custom or secure field.

A simple decision rule

Try Sayhush if your primary need is personal Mac dictation and its free allowance lets you evaluate the dock. Start with Flow if supported devices or broader plan features are decisive. Recheck both official pricing pages before paying; prices, billing periods and included features can change.
